Connor's 4th birthday party

We had Connor's 4th birthday party at Grandpa and Gammy's yesterday. It is a little early, since his birthday isn't for a couple weeks, but we wanted to do it before the baby is born. Since it was on the lake we did a nautical theme. The kids swam in the lake, tubed, rode on the boat, and played on the beach.. They had a GREAT time!

Here are the cupcakes. I don't know if you can see, but there are little shark sprinkles on top. Cute.

If you look REALLY closely you can see the only picture of me from the whole party... a reflection in the tv. Awesome.
To go with the nautical theme I had a navy and white striped bathing suit top and made a long red maxi skirt.
I loved the favor bags! They were so cute! Each kid got some shark gummys, a fish water squirter and a pack of goldfish.

Sarah offered to help him open his presents from the Lands and Harberts. I think it's the first time a kid has helped another kid open a present, and neither one cried or tried to steal it away! They are getting so big!
Due to the blue icing, we opted to do cupcakes outside...

... even though there was a wind storm the second we walked outside. He never got to blow out his candle, because we couldn't get it lit... but we told him he could have a candle re-do on his actual birthday and he was happy with that solution.
After we ate cupcakes and did presents, all the kids (except Kate - she has had a little runny nose, and birthday party day was the straw that broke the camel's back... she turned the corner into super sick and now has a fever and super snot... awesome 5 days before we have a baby) got back into the lake and swam and tubed and boated for another couple hours. It was such a great party!

This might be my favorite picture.... Quentin covered in blue icing and taking Josh's cupcake. Hilarious.

Too cute Kate

We cleaned out Connor's closet the other day - getting all the 3T clothes out and 4T clothes in. Kate decided to take all the clothes out and play in the box. It was the cutest thing ever!

This is a video of Kate jumping and dancing. She is awesome.
Please don't mind my dirty floor.

Monkey Joe's

Connor has been asking to go to Monkey Joe's for several weeks now. So Grandpa and Gammy took Kate Friday night and Saturday afternoon and we took him for his birthday. Yes, it is a bit early. However, all Connor related birthday celebrations are happening early due to Baby Mason's arrival just a couple weeks before his actual birthday. His birthday party is 18 days before his birthday! Anyways, here are some pics of him having a great time!

In the bouncy house
Rolling out of the bouncy house...

You can barely see him in this one, but it was the first time he went on it! Actually, he went on a lot of the slides for the first time today. Usually he goes on one slide and the bouncy house thing, but today he went on all the slides! He is getting more adventurous! (just a little haha)

Kate Renee telling us about her fun time at Grandpa and Gammy's on the way home. She had a great time!

State Fair

Mark took the day off today and we went to breakfast and then the state fair. We had an amazing day! The fun didn't stop for Connor - he is off to spend some quality one on one time with Grandpa and Gammy. Here are some pictures from the fair:

I can't believe he actually wanted to feed the goats, but he did! He was so funny showing us how they did it later - by licking his hand.

He rode two rides and he did them both all by himself!! I was shocked he would do that!! He loved them, though!

Waiting in line. Because he's big.

 Perfect

A sleepy girl after a long fun day!

splash park

We went to a splash park today. Connor had so much fun! He loves the one at the zoo, so I knew he would have a blast. He came up to me every 10-15 minutes saying that he loved it, or he liked the water, or that he was having so much fun. It was awesome.
Kate was not a huge fan at first. She was content sitting in the stroller looking at all the fools in the freezing cold water. She doesn't really like to get splashed, so I didn't think a splash park would be the most fun thing she has ever done, but she ended up having a good time, too!

Yes, she wore her puddle jumper for an hour. She refused to take it off.
She pushed to stroller around for awhile. Unbeatable entertainment.

She liked to stand and look at the water, but would never go past the first step. It might have something to do with the fact that the water was below zero... or just because she doesn't like to get in. Who knows.

My favorite picture.
You can see here what Kate and Connor did most of the time. She walked around in a circle from the 1 inch deep water onto the concrete and back and he ran around with Abby. You do see her bite the dust, but she was fine.. no tears.

Kate walking and Connor riding a bike

Kate is finally walking! She started about a month ago and is getting faster every day. She loves playing chase and saying, "boo" as she walks around the corner.

She also loves dancing..

Here is Connor riding his bike for one of the first times by himself.
