Children's Museum

Our good friend, Katie, has a pass for the Children's Museum so Elizabeth and I went with her last week with the kids. It was so fun! Connor had a great time looking at all of the other kids running around and all the new sights! All of our friends have girls, so Connor is going to have to get used to girly things, so when we went to the Barbie exhibit, we had to find something for boys! Here he is being the d.j. for Sarah and Anabelle's fashion show!

Here is Anabelle posing in her beautiful pink dress on the Barbie runway... so beautiful!

And Sarah answering the Barbie phones:

After that we had to find something not pink, so here we are with a truck :)

And we all had fun with the racecar

Anablle and Sarah wanted to drive all by their big girl selves!

CONNOR ROLLED OVER!!!

After MOPS on Friday, Heather, Elizabeth and I went to Katies house for lunch and to hang out. It was so nice to visit with all three of my friends! We were there during nap time, so I put Connor down on the floor in the guest bedroom. I was thinking it would be a norml 45 minute to an hour nap, but 3 hours later he was still sleeping!! It was a record nap for Connor as well as Abigail that day! When I went into the room to get my Sleepy Handsome boy from his nap, this is what I saw:

If you look closely you can see the little imprint of where he was in the middle of the blanket! I was so excited!! I ran out of the room to get Katie and we just stared at him and I took about a thousand pictues... here are a few:

Starting to wake up: (and probably wondering why he is upside down and my camera is in his face)

After he woke up I was convinced he would become an automatic rolling machine, so I sat with my finger on the record button for the next half hour and took about a hundred 30 second videos waiting for him to roll over again (which he has yet to do...)

He is very vocal about being soooo close... and then so unsuccessful...

4 months old!!

Our sweet baby boy is 4 months old today! We are so proud to be his parents and can't believe how fast time has gone by... not so fast that he is sleeping all the way through the night yet, but still pretty fast! Connor celebrated his birthday by take a 20 minute nap and then crying for the remaining hour. He usually goes for about 45 minutes, but today is special, so 20 minutes it was! Here are a couple pictures of Connor at the dinner table talking to Daddy about his day.

I have never seen a sweeter smile!

Connor loves his Daddy!

Here he is spitting... his new favorite thing to do!

Cereal

I can't believe our baby is 4 months old already! He started cereal yesterday for the first time! Actually, he took his bath without the sling in the tub for the first time yesterday, too! It was a big day for a big boy! Here is a video of Connor eating ceral for the first time... it is at the beginning, so he is still getting used to the spoon, but he got the hang of it eventually!

Messy eater...

Focused eater...

Happy eater :)

My New Job!!

After long discussions, Mark and I have decided that I am going to be a stay at home mom! I am so excited! Although I enjoy teaching, I love being home with Connor and watching him grow and discover new things, so we thought: why not extend my maternity leave for awhile? haha! I was originally supposed to go back in August and thought about job sharing (where I would only work a half day), but the more we thought about it and discussed it, the more I realized that this is what I really want to do. So exciting! :)

Bath Time

Connor has always done very well during bath time. He doesn't really smile, but he certainly doesn't cry, so that's fine! He just kind of hangs out and is probably wondering what the heck is going on! Anyways, he is so adorable in his ducky towel that I just had to photo shoot!

Rub A Dub...
Chubby in the tub...

Drying off ... tooo cute!!

Get that diaper back on as soon as possible!

Dressed and ready for a late night snack and then bed!

New Year's Eve

My dad and step-mom (Grandpa and Gammy) were oh-so-wonderful and babysat Connor on NYE for us so we could go out on the town! Just kidding about the town, but we did go with the Macks to The Harbert's house to celebrate with a Mexican Fiesta complete with tacos and margaritas! Here are some pictures of our sweet baby boy that Grandpa and Gammy had so much fun dressing up and playing with!

Nobody ever said he was slim...

Good thing chubby babies are so adorable!

The Best Baby

Those of you on the quest to find the best baby can now stop looking... I have found him! Connor Alan James is not only the cutest baby in the world, he is also the BEST baby in the world! After church today Mark and I had some exchanges and shopping to do at Menards, Kohls and Target. We were gone for almost 4 hours shopping and he never fussed - not even once! He was in and out of the car seat and the carrier and was SO amazingly perfect! Now he is playing under his tummy time mat continuing to be the best baby in the world; just talking to his little friends and laughing at them and trying his best to roll over! Mark and I are so thankful to have such a wonderful baby!

He also was the best baby yesterday for Grandpa and and Gammy. We did some exchanges in Greenwood and went to the grocery while they babysat. We aimed to be gone a couple of hours and ended up being gone almost 5! Connor actually took a full nap instead of just 45 minutes! (Actually... come to think of it, the last time he took a full nap was at Grandpa and Gammy's house on New Year's Day... I think they have some secrets they aren't sharing!) To make up for the extra time, I made taco soup for dinner and they were able to stay and visit for a bit! :)

Look How BIG!!

Connor is getting so big! Here are a few pictures for proof!
This is the progression of tummy time... it used to look like this (which he still does on occasion...)

But now...

as you can tell by the blurry picture, he is still a little wobbly, but he can hold his head up great!

And here he is "standing". He does such a great job! His little (fat) legs are so strong!!

And here he is in his swing. He loves it! Sometimes he feels as though he has to hold on for dear life!

Laughing!

I started laughing a couple weeks ago, but never do it long enough for Mom or Dad to get the camera... but they got me this time! Daddy was cracking me UP!!

More talking!

Here I am telling Mommy and Daddy how much I will miss them over New Year's Eve... I spent the night with Grandpa and Gammy and had soooo much fun! (More pictures of that to come)
