Connor's Birthday Day and a couple other pics

 Connor started his 3rd Birthday Day with a birthday bar, birthday cereal and birthday pancakes with a candle! He wore his birthday hat and had a great breakfast!
He woke up feeling fine, but as the morning went on I realized he had a fever. It was so pitiful. Ringing in the 3rd year of his little life with a fever. So sad. He was basically crying if I wasn't holding him, but he would not hear of not going to the apple orchard like we had planned. I told him he could stay home and watch tv and relax instead and he did not want to! So to the apple orchard we went! He went down the slide a few times, played on the swings for a few minuts, but spent the majority of his time on the big swing with the Lands eating his apple slushie.

Connor's 3rd Birthday

Connor turns 3 on Wednesday! We had his party over the weekend and it was fantastic! He wanted Lightning McQueen and Mater for his party theme, so I (of course) went a little crazy with it... but you will never see it, because I didn't take any pictures of the setup, the cupcakes, the food, the decorations, the guests, or the present opening. Awesome. Mom of the Year. Good memories.
Here are some pictures I did manage to take.

This was actually the afternoon before the party. He had had his party hat on since the second he got out of bed. He was eating lunch outside at his picnic table.

This wasn't from his party, but she was in the swing today and LOVED it. So cute. She acted like she was on a roller coaster.

So instead of hearing an adorable baby growl, all you hear is just a super cool mom.... growling.

Connor played with his guitar today about 100 times. By the end of the day he had singing, dancing and playing all at once down pat.

 

After Connor's party a few people stayed after to celebrate my birthday. I am 30!! Oh my! Mark make it so special for me. He had a champagne toast for everybody! Thanks to all of you that helped me to celebrate!

You know how some days you think to yourself, I don't think I am going to make it to the end of the hour, much less until the end of the day when my fantastic husband gets home to rescue me? And then other days you think to yourself, man, I have GOT this! lol well, today was one of those days! Yay!

Connor is a typical boy and lacking somewhat in the fine motor skills department, so we played with cheerios for an hour. Yep, you read right... an HOUR! Getting him to do anything for an extended period of time is a challenge, but he loved it! He put cheerios on kabob sticks that were upright in play doh, he put them on a line of tape like they were cars, he put them inside a mini m&ms container (thank you for that, Katie), and finally, he ate them like a shark!

Connor was also CRACKING Kate up! She was hilarious!

If her hair isn't her best feature, I don't know what is! And you can see her two bottom teeth!

Toddler Olympics

We had the first official Toddler Olympics today. The contenders were: Abby, Connor, Lily, Sarah, and Violet. Josh was a great by stander and Kate was a great napper.

There were three events.
1. The balance beam

 3. Cheeto cool whip throw - throw cheetos onto a plate smeared with cool whip and try to get them to stick.

 After the Olympics all the girls dressed up as princesses, so Connor was the Prince - complete with Cam's tie and a wand sword!

I have caught quite a bit of grief from The Grandmas of our families for not posting, so here we are!

July 4th - Didn't get a good pic, but here is one where neither of them is crying haha

More updates - Kate is officially eating baby food now, and she LOVES puffs - that girl can shovel them in!

Connor is potty training. We have tried a couple of times (unsuccessfully) but I think it is going to stick this time. It has been about 3 weeks and the only time he wears a diaper is for nap and bedtime. He won't tell you that he has to go, but if you make him go, he will hold it till then.... (except during church yesterday... they just asked him if he had to go, he said no, and came home wet haha. oh well... such is life).. He is doing Really well!

And finally, today is our 7 year anniversary! I can't believe I have been married to the love of my life for 7 years and we have two beautiful children! We are so blessed by God!
